What are orphan disks? 

Orphan disks are floppy disks that have lost the computers they belonged to, for example, when an owner sends a computer to the dump. At the Archive, as part of the Orphan Disk Initiative, we strive to provide these disks with a home. We make sure to digitize them and, when possible, reunite them with new computers.
